Madurai:
Madurai is the third largest city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Madurai is famous for its temples built by Pandyan and Madurai Nayak kings in the Dravidian style of architecture The Meenakshi temple at Madurai is one of the major Hindu temples dedicated to her. According to one theory, "Meenakshi" is a Sanskrit-language term meaning "fish-eyed", derived from the words mina ("fish") and akshi ("eyes").

Rameshwaram:
It is said the Hindu god Rama built a bridge from here across the sea to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from her abductor Ravana. The Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, is at the centre of the town and is closely associated with Rama. The temple and the town are considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shivas and Vaishnavas.

Kanyakumari:
Kanyakumari is a City in Kanyakumari district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The name comes from the Devi Kanya Kumari Temple in the region, in Tamil it is pronounced as 'Kan-niya-kumari'. It is the southernmost tip of peninsular India, and is surrounded on three sides by the Laccadive Sea.
